Push for the May 3 Primary

May 2 is the last day to vote early in person. Regular primary election day is on Tuesday May 3. We have a historical number of people running against the Republican establishment candidates. According to ballotpedia, Indiana has a 67% increase in primary challengers this year when compared to at least the past 10 years of primaries.

May 3 will decide if we replace many of the establishment legislators with grass roots freedom lovers, or if Indiana will continue with that same status quo that we have to fight against every year during session.
For a sample ballot, you can put in your address without having to put in your email here: It does not list convention delegate candidates on this list.

GOP fights against Freedom Loving Representative John Jacob

Please listen to this radio interview with Representative John Jacob. It’s about 15 minutes, but even if you listen to 5 minutes, you will want to hear it.

As stated in the interview, the Indiana Republican party hates conservatives. Holcomb hates conservatives. The GOP fights conservatives harder than they fight Democrats.

Hoosiers have only two Representatives who have consistently pushed back on establishment leadership. Representative John Jacob House District 93 and Representative Curt Nisly House District 22. The establishment redrew both of their districts in an effort to get them out of office.

Time and again, Rep Jacob and Rep Nisly have written liberty bills. They have also demanded roll call votes so the people can see how their public servants have voted. The Republican establishment HATES ROLL CALL VOTES. The establishment does not want you to see that they vote against your freedom. So when Nisly and Jacob make a good amendment on a bad bill and they call the amendment for a roll call vote, the establishment would rather kill the bad bill than go on record going against a freedom amendment. That is how bad bills have been stopped.

The rest of our public servants go along with the establishment leadership. Even if they add a good amendment, they are too afraid of the punishment to call a roll call vote when leadership does not want one. In fact, the rest of the legislators might write a good bill or amendment as a show that they support freedom, but then they cower and won’t even call the amendment up for any vote.

Only Nisly and Jacob have been brave enough to push back on the GOP establishment to continue to fight for freedom legislation.

Please don’t believe the nasty lies the establishment party members say about Nisly and Jacob. They are upset that these two freedom fighters don’t play by the anti freedom establishment games.

Rep John Jacob and Rep Curt Nisly are so effective for freedom that the Republican party is spending half a million dollars just to get Rep Jacob out. Usually $25,000-$30,000 is spent on getting a candidate elected. Why is the Republican party spending $500,000 to get a seated Representative following the actual party values out?!

Rep John Jacob’s opponent is number 4 down the line of hand picked establishment candidates. Establishment Julie was a Senate staffer and will fall in line. Her campaign is using the same language that John Jacob uses, because they know people want freedom. That’s how slimy the establishment gets.

Please make sure you vote for liberty on or before May 3.

I also haven’t forgotten about the establishment voter guide from Stand for Health Freedom. They sent out another push for their establishment voter guide. They continue to double down on getting Rep John Jacob out of office by recommending his opponent.

Rep John Jacob reports that he has spoken at Stand for Health Freedom events in the past. He doesn’t write bills for Stand for Health Freedom. He writes strong freedom bills with Hoosiers for Medical Liberty, another large non profit that could be competition for fund raising. I’ll let you decide why that group supports his establishment opponent.

Establishment Julie apparently filled out Stand for Health Freedom’s weak promise survey, but John said he wasn’t given their survey to complete. Establishment Julie is making promises to stand up for health freedom, but anyone with any common sense realizes that the establishment does not allow Reps or Senators to do anything leadership doesn’t approve.

Voter guides that actually support freedom candidates are posted for your review.

May 3 Primary-Vote for Freedom

Early in person voting runs from April 5-May 2 for those unable to show up on May 3. Many Indiana voter machines will have a printer that runs a receipt for your ballot this year.

The great news is that requests for mail in ballots has massively decreased. In fact, Tippecanoe county reported that in 2020 at least 7000 voters requested a mail in ballot. This year, a little less than 30 people out of 120,000 registered Tippecanoe voters requested a mail in ballot. It’s highly likely we are not going to have the mail in ballot issues we had for 2020 in our state primary.

This year, people are fed up with government over reach we have experienced over the past two years. The great news is, we have at least 30 House districts with primary challengers who support freedom. That’s massive! Together we can vote out our seated legislators who have refused to serve our freedoms time and time again.

There are two current legislators we want to keep in office for the House, Curt Nisly District 22 and John Jacobs District 93.

Mandates remain a big issue with the majority of county debates asking candidates their stance on the issue. Almost all candidates are claiming to be against mandates, but we haven’t seen that to be the case with their actions over the past two years.

The current incumbents are pandering to supposed health freedom organizations that they believe will help get them reelected by a recommendation/endorsement. Unfortunately, many politicians make promises they never intend to keep.

The “do nothing, freedom stealing” current legislators are afraid of the freedom supporting challengers running against them. Their fear has been reported on by multiple news outlets, and even the Democrats have voiced opinions that the current Republicans in office are at risk to be replaced by their more conservative challengers. These incumbents are likely to make any promises if it will save their jobs for reelection.

Do not be misled into supporting our current do little to nothing legislators that we have been fighting against since forming in 2015. Vote for their primary challengers. Send a message that Indiana, with a super red majority, should have more freedom than Florida. Let’s kick these legislators to the curb.

Here are the current recommendations for districts with primary challengers.

If you see a voter guide claiming to represent health freedom that is recommending House District 56 for Brad Barrett and House District 79 for Matt Lehman, along with many other RINO incumbents, that is probably not the guide you want to follow. Rep Brad Barrett MD has not been a supporter of medical freedom. He killed several good medical freedom bills this year alone, including 1350 by Rep Bruce Borders to create an Indiana vaccine adverse event reporting system and 1372 by Rep Curt Nisly to ensure that ivermectin is available at the pharmacy and can be used as a treatment. That’s just the tip of the iceberg for how Rep Brad Barrett has been against us for medical freedom.

To make matters worse, Holcomb created a public health commission and appointed Dr Judy Monroe, CEO of the CDC Foundation, as the co-chair. She commutes from Atlanta for the Indiana meetings. This commission is going to make recommendations for new laws in Indiana. Their report will be issued by the end of summer 2022, after the primaries are over. One big issue they have is that Indiana ranks 48th in funding the public health departments. They want more money and more power for the health departmens. The CDC wants to get it’s claws into the state more than ever. Dr Monroe’s pet project is increasing vaccine uptake in children. It’s possible that Indiana will start to see more school mandated vaccines, such as flu and HPV, along with more school vaccine clinics based on their legislative recommendations. Who you vote for in May will shape the future of our state.

Do you actually believe that Dr Brad Barrett, head of the public health committee, is going to fight against the recommendations of Holcomb’s public health commission? I do not. His record does not support that he would stand up for health freedom, yet he is being recommended by another organization claiming he supports health freedom.

If you want change, vote for Mark Pierce in District 56 instead of Brad Barrett. We need legislators who will refuse to follow the CDC Foundation when it comes to recommending they write and pass legislation to further the goals of the public health commission.

Even though Mark Pierce is the underdog in the District 56 race against Brad Barrett, I refuse to sell out and support Barrett in hope of pandering to be in his good graces. I have watched the breadcrumbs the current Republican leadership throws us, and I find it unacceptable. I won’t accept crumbs, and neither should you.

I will never sell you out. I will never sell your children out, and I will never sell my family out by supporting/recommending/endorsing or helping the current status quo, do nothing legislators in office just to have hopes of earning their favor and possibly get them to write more weak and worthless legislation like HB 1001 for us. I have more integrity than that.

It’s extremely disappointing and unfortunate that certain other alleged health freedom groups have turned their backs on grassroots efforts and are supporting the establishment candidates, especially since many other freedom groups have been fighting to make change in our state by working on voting the do nothing Republican in Name Only legislators out.

We have a historic amount of medical freedom supporting primary challengers that need to be supported. What is the point of continuing to fight for freedom, if we are unwilling to fire our current public servants who refuse to serve us when we have a chance to replace them with a better public servant?

I am NOT supporting the establishment candidates, and I hope you won’t either!

Show up to vote on May 3, let’s fix our state.

Voter Guides for the May Primary

Next week early voting for the primaries starts on April 5. It would be best to vote in person on May 3, but for those who cannot make it, in person early voting is from April 5-May 2.

Today has been frustrating, because I need to address an issue that is popping up. I saw a post on Telegram with Stand for Health Freedom’s voter guide, and to say I was shocked at their recommendations would be an understatement. Then I checked other social media sites to find back and forth arguments among people regarding their voting guide. Some people appear to be as surprised as I was to see their recommendations.

For the past 7 years, I haven’t really went against another group working for freedom, but either Stand for Health Freedom did not do an appropriate vetting process of candidates, or they have a VERY different view of medical freedom candidates. A view that does not help our state remove incumbents that have not served us. I was already surprised by their endorsement of Jake Teshka when he has been weak and has a great primary challenger against him, Sarina Williams. But their guide is full of establishment Republican In Name Only candidates. Due to that, I feel I have to address this. The people have worked too hard to be misled to vote for status quo.

I have been talking about how Rep Matt Lehman supported the Senate amendment to gut the guaranteed religious exemption from HB1001. He said he supported the Senate amendment during the hearing. He played both sides and gave lip service to medical freedom leaders. He pretended to be on their side, but he didn’t try and change HB1001 when it went to conference committee to consolidate the House version with the gutted Senate version. He pushed the gutted version through with zero changes. Actions speak louder than words. Myself and others have recommended people in district 79 vote against Rep Matt Lehman and vote for Russ Mounsey who has promised to write legislation for medical freedom and go against leadership when it comes to protecting freedoms. This is a priority district to get Matt Lehman out, but Stand for Health Freedom recommends Matt Lehman over his freedom loving challenger. It’s unbelievable to be honest.

Another priority is District 56 to get out Dr Brad Barrett. His challenger, Mark Pierce, has also promised to write legislation for medical liberty. Unfortunately, Stand for Health Freedom is recommending Dr Brad Barrett who has a poor record of medical freedom including writing and helping pass bills giving more control to the health department. That’s another shocking recommendation. He wrote one amendment against vaccine passports last year, but he didn’t push for it and seemed relieved that it didn’t pass. He is against us.

Stand for Health Freedom has also went against Rep John Jacobs by recommending the GOP establishment backed challenger, Julie McGuire. The GOP is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to promote McGuire and get rid of conservative and medical freedom supporter, Rep John Jacobs. Jacobs has written many bills and amendments that helped kill bad bills. He has a proven record of writing bills for medical freedom and speaking at freedom events. It’s truly shocking that Stand for Health Freedom is recommending voting against John Jacobs.

Just because a politician completes a survey with the “right” answers, doesn’t mean they support medical freedom. For example, if Nancy Pelosi completes a medical freedom survey with the right answers, should we believe she is telling the truth and would be against mandates?!? No, because her record/actions and her words don’t match supporting freedom. It’s common sense and it’s a matter of realizing when a politician is lying to get what they want, re-elected.

Additionally, Stand for Health Freedom is supporting Rep Randy Lyness, who doesn’t have a primary challenger so it doesn’t matter, but my friend and I personally met with Randy Lyness last year about supporting SB74 since he’s on the Labor and Employment committee, and we wanted his vote He said he was probably going to get his covid shot, and he said people can go get another job if they don’t want to get an employer mandated vaccine. He was not supportive of SB 74 which was an employee exemption bill. Why would Stand for Health Freedom support him? What vetting process did they use before telling people voting recommendations? I can tell you that he personally said he did not support SB 74 for religious exemptions for workers. Just because he jumped on the bandwagon with HB 1001, which the state religious exemption was removed from it anyway, doesn’t mean he is on our side.

There are more RINO recommendations from them that I’m not even going into detail for. It is really weird.

I think people need to contact Stand for Health Freedom and get an explanation. Either their guide was not vetted appropriately, they have a different view of medical freedom, or some type of compromise has happened. Having a few recommendations that are off isn’t a big deal, but having many is odd. Voting recommendations come with a big responsibility to lead people in the right direction.

Several groups in Indiana have worked hard to get freedom loving candidates to run in the primary against the status quo legislators who no longer serve us. There are at least 30 good candidates running against our go along to get along legislators. It is disappointing to see another group supposedly working on getting people to vote for health freedom, to recommend incumbent candidates who are poorly supportive of medical freedom per their voting records. What is the point of having primary challengers if the people are told to just vote for the incumbents who have not helped stop government over reach the past two years?!?

I have made a voter guide that has been vetted with a lot of hard work and time. The long Voter Guide is 21 pages, and it contains a link to the new maps, a link to register to vote, and a link to find where to vote early in person if you can’t make it on May 3. It has all the state Representative, state Senate, and Congress districts with primary challengers. Not all districts have a recommendation, because for some there aren’t any candidates for medical freedom.

For those that want to get to the point, here is a Quick Voter Guide with District Number and Name of the candidate recommended. Not all districts are on this guide, only those with a good primary challenger are on this.

I make no money off my work, and I have no conflict of interests to disclose. I’m not saying taking donations as a nonprofit is bad, I’m saying I make no money out of this. I am grass roots, and I have been at the State House to testify for freedom every year for the past 7 years. This isn’t a competition on who gets a voter guide shared around the most. It is about who is making the appropriate recommendations when it comes to medical freedom. I have shared legislator reviews from other groups that are appropriate.

It pains me to go against another group, but their voter guide is inappropriate if you want change and want medical freedom. It goes against the hard work that many leaders in the state have done to support freedom challengers. I would share Stand for Health Freedom’s absurd voter guide for you to see, but I don’t want them to say anything to me about a copyright or something.

Please be very careful about who you listen to when it comes to voter recommendations. Do your own research and talk to your local candidates.

House District 7: Teshka vs Williams- majority of St Joseph County

House District 7 has a contested race between Republican incumbent Jake Teshka and Constitutional Conservative Sarina Williams.

Much to the surprise of many medical freedom activists, Teshka recently received an endorsement from a large health freedom group in Indiana.

Unfortunately, I don’t have nearly the reach/money that the big group has, but Teshka absolutely is not strong on medical freedom.

He was elected in 2020. In 2021, he voted for SB 1 and HB 1002 to give Civil Immunity to businesses for covid.

We all fought hard against SB 1 and HB 1002 last year. Hoosiers showed up and gave heart wretching testimony about how hospitals and nursing homes had neglected their loved ones, including allegedly starving them to death. Attorneys for the families talked about how this bill would make it impossible to sue for the neglect that had occurred.

Teshka heard that testimony, but still joined to Vote Yes on covid immunity twice, while 21 other House Reps Voted NO twice. Teshka didn’t have peer pressure of being only one of a handful who would have voted No. He easily could have voted No.

This year, he also voted against amendments that would have given medical freedom.

Do his votes sound like a person who believes in true medical Liberty?

Is he just trying to save his job by giving lip service now that a candidate who does support liberty is running against him?

Sarina Williams has promised to not only vote Yes for freedom, but also to author bills for medical freedom.

I spent several months trying to get a legislator to write a parental rights bill regarding making a parent’s vaccination status inadmissible evidence during a custody hearing, and following the state of Illinois to make lack of vaccination alone NOT medical neglect in children. If we can take over the State House by replacing the status quo with the primary challengers, we will get that bill written!

This May primary is important. There are at least 30 House candidates running that are good candidates, but they need us to show up and spread the word.

I know some of you have heard the “just vote harder” negative point of view. Every election cycle, awful legislators get elected, and we wait for the next election to “vote harder”, yet we still get awful legislators in office. Very little changes.

BUT this year actually is different, our state is healing from a state imposed pandemic. People are mad about how they were treated. We have a lot of primary challengers that we rarely have. Most are normal people like you and I who are fed up with the GOP leadership and Holcomb.

Only 20% of registered voters show up to vote in the May primaries. We absolutely can show up en masse, and replace at least 25% of the House Reps with freedom lovers.

Let’s work to turn Indiana into a state that the people of Florida envy for our freedoms.

One Correction for Senate District 23

Sorry, I accidently listed the wrong District number for Paula Copenhaver. She is running for Senate District 23, which was anti-freedom Senator Boot’s district. He is retiring, and Crawfordsville area was removed from the district under the new maps. Senate District 23 now includes West Lafayette. I previously put 25 instead of 23, which is a crazy error, because I know all about District 23 and have followed it closely .

Senate District 23- Vote for Paula K Copenhaver

This is going to be a tough win, because there is a strong establishment candidate running, Spencer Deery. Please don’t vote for him.

We need all the rural folks in Senate District 23 to really show up to counteract the new addition of West Lafayette voters.

Previous posts listed a link to the newest maps if you don’t know where you are districted for the primary.

Indiana Medical Freedom
Quick Reference Primary Voter Guide

This is a shortened quick guide to help you know which candidates support freedom for the May 3 Primary elections. Districts are only listed that have strong recommendations for freedom supporting candidates. The previously posted 20-page full voting guide gives more detailed information about all districts with primary challengers even if they do not mention medical freedom on their public stance.
If your District is not listed, I am unaware of a strong medical freedom candidate or there isn’t one running.

Please show up to vote for the Primary. We have so many great candidates running, we have to get some of them in office to support us. Also, now that you know who to vote for, please spread the word to friends and family, volunteer on their campaigns, get a yard sign, attend fundraiser events, etc. The GOP is spending a lot of money to beat these non-establishment candidates. We fight back by volunteering and helping to advertise the freedom candidates.

Status quo has got to go, and we can do that on May 3rd if everyone shows up. Only a small fraction of registered voters vote in the May primaries. If we make a strong showing, we will replace the RINO Republicans with medical freedom fighters.

This voter guide includes all the Indiana House Districts, Senate Districts, and Congressional Districts that have primary challengers in the May elections. If your District is not listed, there is no primary challenger running. Not all Districts have a good primary challenger running, so some have no recommendation. The recommendations are based on review of candidate’s websites and social media pages along with contacting a few of them to ask their stance on medical freedom.

The guide has a link to the new District maps that were drawn based on the 2020 Census data and has some basic information on counties included in each district. Some Districts have completely changed, so you might not be in the same District from previous years.

What is going on with HB 1001 employee exemptions?

Last week Senator Messmer gutted the bill and removed religious exemptions without inquiry and excluded healthcare workers and sports/concert venue workers. He increased testing for up to twice a week, and removed being eligible for unemployment.

This week Senator Messmer (anti-freedom and pro-pharma) has filed two more amendments to HB 1001. He wants to exclude more people including performing artists, and he wants to remove exemptions for people who agree to test and mask in lieu of the mandated shot .

Senator Doriot also filed an amendment to add religious exemptions back with no further inquiry. Many people had reached out to him asking him to do that including myself.

Rep Lehman the author of the bill tries to pretend that he is not happy that the bill was gutted, but he clearly said he supported Messmer’s first amendment to gut the bill.

The past two days HB 1001 has been available for 2nd reading in the full Senate where the filed amendments could be heard and voted on.

Rep Lehman has declined to call the bill for 2nd reading both days. IF HE SUPPORTED FREEDOM like he claims, he would have called the bill up and had a vote to add religious exemptions with no further inquiry back to the bill, but he didn’t.

Call Rep Lehman

317-234-9380

Tell him that needs to return the bill to the House version.

Call Senator Messmer

317-232-9840

Tell him that you are disgusted that he is a sell out to the people of Indiana and this will be remembered. He cannot pretend he supports freedom anymore. He only listened to the Chamber of Commerce and Eli Lilly.

HB 1001 currently allows medical exemptions with no further inquiry, exemptions for prior infection for 90 days and proof of antibodies every 90 days, exemptions for staff who agree to test and mask up to twice weekly and possibly paid for by you, and religious exemptions per the Federal Civil Rights Act. It excludes employees of government entities, excludes healthcare workers, and excludes workers are concert, sports, music venues and those in close proximity of those arenas.

If the bill is going to get a vote in the Senate, then it needs to have 2nd reading by Monday 2/28. The deadline for passing the Senate is Tuesday 3/1.

I have decided not to take a hard line stance either way for support/oppose. This bill will help some people keep their jobs and it will exclude some people. I know nobody likes being forced to test and mask, but I have spoke to employees who would rather have to mask and test than be fired.

Most companies with mandates are already requiring staff with exemptions to mask and test now.

If Doriot’s amendment for religious exemptions with no futher inquiry would pass, I would support the bill.

The main thing is to call and complain that this bill doesn’t do enough, and tell them your opinion. This bill was originally patterned after the exemption bill in Florida passed by Florida Republicans yet our Republican “public servants” gutted the freedom parts of the bill. Unfortunately, Indiana Republicans don’t seem to belong to the Republican party.

Call the two numbers listed above and call your own Senator at 317-232-9400. They should be able to direct you to your Senator.
